The Tammy Faye Biopic
In the conflict between God and Mammon, the victory is clear for greed in Showalter's wonderfully garish film adaptation about the fallen TV preacher and her criminal husband. Andrew Garfield portrays the corrupt Bakker, who declares early on, asserting religious justification for riches. He and Tammy Faye commence profiting from the people's religious faith.
