In the course of a public appearance to Lichfield Cathedral on Monday, King Charles was shouted at by a individual who asked him about his brother's relationship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The individual asked how long the King had been aware about his sibling's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, and also raised doubts about whether he had instructed the police to "hide" for Prince Andrew.

Amid the protest, there were throngs of well-wishers and applause for the monarch, who was visiting Staffordshire for an ceremony.

The Duke of York's associations with Epstein have been under renewed focus in recent weeks. The royal, who gave up his royal duties earlier this month, has strongly denied any misconduct.

"For how long have you known about Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein? Did you request the authorities to cover up for him?"

The monarch remained silent but carried on greeting supporters, some of whom chanted "Long live the King". One fan can be overheard asking him for a hug.

A female bystander outside the venue was also heard telling the protester to "leave" and to "shut up".

Controversy Reignited by Memoir

The scandal over the Duke of York's links to Epstein has been reignited by misconduct allegations repeated in Ms. Giuffre's recently released book.

In the publication, the accuser alleges she had sex with the royal on three separate occasions, including once with Epstein and "eight other young girls"

Andrew, who agreed to a out-of-court agreement with the plaintiff in 2022, has consistently denied any wrongdoing. In 2019, he told BBC Newsnight he did not remember meeting her "at all", and that they "did not have any sort of sexual contact."

Fresh Questions About Lifestyle and Living Arrangements

But in recent times, fresh questions have been raised about how he is able to fund his way of life despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The disclosure that he has only ever paid a nominal fee on his Royal Lodge has heightened the examination over his housing situation - even though he made large payments initially, including for improvements.

The Liberal Democrats said he should be called in before members of parliament to give testimony about his lease of his residence.

But last week, the authorities declined to give parliamentarians time to discuss the royal's titles or his home, despite growing pressure for scrutiny.

Buckingham Palace has not issued a statement on whether the Duke of York might relocate of his home - or where he might go.
